Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Maintenance Worker II for Rocky Mountain House HC to perform routine and demand maintenance on building systems and components. You will handle drywall, floors and painting, with potential minor plumbing and equipment repairs as needed.

Under supervision, you'll check equipment pressures and temperatures, disassemble for cleaning, and support facility operations in a regular full-time capacity at the Rocky Mountain House location.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate required where boiler support is necessary.
• Class 5 ABSA Certificate must live within 20 minutes of the facility.

Responsibilities

Description: As a Maintenance Worker II, you may perform routine preventative and demand maintenance activities within the exterior and interior of the building. Under general supervision, you may perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on facility architectural, structural and mechanical systems/components to ensure safety and efficient operation of the building systems and equipment. You may perform a wide range of general maintenance duties including maintenance and repair of drywall, floors and painting. Additional duties may include minor plumbing repair; minor repairs on equipment; checks on equipment for pressure and temperature; and disassembly of equipment for cleaning.
