Qualifications

• Proven outdoor work experience in groundskeeping and landscaping.

• Ability to identify plants, trees, pests, and weeds; knowledge of pesticide management is a plus.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification and soil management.

Duties:

Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and planting bed care to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy such as;

• Operate groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, power tools, excavators, and irrigation systems with precision and safety adherence
• Maintain and repair hardscape features like walkways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures to ensure durability and visual appeal
• Manage irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to promote healthy plant growth while conserving water
• Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting new trees, and identifying plant species for proper horticultural care
• Execute snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure safe access around the property
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all maintenance activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations

Requirements:

• Proven outdoor work experience with a strong understanding of groundskeeping and landscaping practices
• Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of lawn care equipment, power tools, irrigation systems, and landscaping machinery such as excavators
• Ability to identify various plants, trees, pests, and weeds; knowledge of pesticide management is a plus
• Familiarity with horticulture principles including plant identification and soil management techniques
• Experience in grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, gardening, tree trimming, hardscape repair, and snow plowing
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to equipment operation and outdoor work environments
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
