Job summary

Banff Caribou Properties Ltd. is seeking a Groundskeeper to help maintain our hotel's outdoor spaces year-round. This hands-on role focuses on keeping exterior areas clean, safe, and welcoming for guests and staff, with duties spanning landscaping and seasonal maintenance.

Ideal candidates are physically fit, enjoy outdoor work in all weather, and can work independently with minimal supervision. Weekend and holiday availability is required to support a busy property in Banff.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Able to lift, bend, shovel, and perform manual labour.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and team mindset.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license or international equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Keep exterior areas clean and well-maintained, including sidewalks, courtyards, and outdoor corridors.
• Collect and remove litter and garbage from property grounds.
• Assist with snow and ice removal from walkways and driveways during winter conditions.
• Apply salt and grit to outdoor areas to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Maintain safe and attractive entrances and outdoor spaces.
• Watering and caring for flower boxes, planters, lawns, trees, and shrubs.
• Weeding, pruning, trimming, and general landscape maintenance.
• Supporting the team with additional duties as required.
