Position Summary

Primaris REIT is currently hiring a dedicated and enthusiastic Maintenance Worker to join our team at Stone Road Mall in Guelph, Ontario. If you have the ability to diagnose issues, identify solutions, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this exciting opportunity is perfect for you!

Role

As a Maintenance Worker, your primary responsibility is to perform daily maintenance and customer service duties required to keep the property safe and presentable for customers, staff, and tenants by:

• Performing daily property inspections and promptly reporting repair needs
• Conducting minor property repairs and maintenance tasks including drywalling, painting, landscaping, basic plumbing & electrical
• Ensuring property safety and responding to tenant concerns
• Maintaining property cleanliness and curb appeal
• Collaborating with contractors, providing excellent customer service, and assisting in coordinating work with stakeholders

Requirements

To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who are customer service focused and have a can-do attitude. The following attributes are desirable:

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required; college diploma is an asset
• 1 year experience in a similar field
• Knowledge of a trade or HVAC is an asset
• Ability to operate power tools & equipment
• Valid Driver’s License
• Basic PC skills
• CPR and First Aid certification is an asset
