Employment Conditions:

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation: CAD $36.50 per hour, with overtime paid after 40 hours at $54.75 per hour

Location: 4000 Barrett Road, Prince Rupert, BC V8J 3R2

Responsibilities:

• Assist maintenance team with general and preventative maintenance duties
• Work across various maintenance areas such as bagging, bulk, pulp, and yard maintenance
• Repair containers on the ground
• Maintain an updated repair database
• Coordinate with crane operators to optimize welding productivity
• Assist with machine repairs and equipment fixing
• Perform minor welding on shipping containers
• Repair seals, hardware, and floors on containers
• Clean equipment and organize work area

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years welding experience
• Registered Apprentice with Skilled Trade BC
• Welding Ticket (asset)
• Trade School completion (asset)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience in preventative maintenance, forklift operation, and heavy-duty equipment (asset)
• Comfortable with power tools
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
