Job summary

Broadstreet Properties Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Edmonton, AB. You will diagnose and repair plumbing, heating, and electrical issues and perform repairs on windows, doors, switches, appliances, and tile.

The role includes painting, drywall work, and exterior maintenance to ensure tenant satisfaction. We value hands-on technicians with 2+ years in maintenance, trade certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a maintenance related role.
• Completion of relevant trade, technical certification, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of hand tools and repair equipment.
• Experience using computers, smartphones, and tablets for email and work orders.
• Availability to work on-call on a rotational basis.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair basic to intermediate plumbing, heating and electrical problems.
• Repair windows, blinds, doors, switches, plugs, appliances and tile.
• Paint, patch drywall, mud, tape; maintain interior and exterior as needed.
• Maintain building exterior and grounds as required.
• Detect faulty operations and report deficiencies.

Your contributions to the team include:

• Diagnosing and repairing basic to intermediate plumbing, heating and electrical problems
• Performing repairs on windows, blinds, doors, switches, plugs, appliances, equipment, fixtures and carpet, vinyl and ceramic tile replacement
• Painting, drywall patching, mudding, taping, etc.
• Maintaining building exterior including basic grounds maintenance as required
• Detecting faulty operations, defective materials and reporting deficiencies

What you need to be successful:

• 2+ years experience in a maintenance related role
• Completion of relevant trade, technical certification, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of hand tools and repair equipment
• Experience using computers, smartphones, and tablets; used for email, electronic work order applications, timesheets
• Availability to work on-call on rotational basis
• Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
