Job summary

Broadstreet Properties Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair plumbing, heating, electrical issues, and perform general upkeep in multi-family communities.

You will work on-call, require 2+ years in maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and basic trade certification. The role offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a maintenance related role.
• Trade/technical certification or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of hand tools and repair equipment.
• Experience using computers, tablets or smartphones for work orders.
• On-call availability on a rotatational basis.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair basic to intermediate plumbing, heating and electrical problems.
• Repair windows, blinds, doors, switches, plugs, appliances and fixtures; tile replacement.
• Paint, patch drywall and mud, tape joints.
• Maintain exterior and grounds as needed.
• Detect faulty operations and report deficiencies.

Your contributions to the team include:

• Diagnosing and repairing basic to intermediate plumbing, heating and electrical problems
• Performing repairs on windows, blinds, doors, switches, plugs, appliances, equipment, fixtures and carpet, vinyl and ceramic tile replacement
• Painting, drywall patching, mudding, taping, etc
• Maintaining building exterior including basic grounds maintenance as required
• Detecting faulty operations, defective materials and reporting deficiencies

What you need to be successful:

• 2+ years’ experience in a maintenance related role
• Completion of relevant trade, technical certification, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of hand tools and repair equipment
• Experience using computers, smartphones, and tablets; used for email, electronic work order applications, timesheets
• Availability to work on-call on rotational basis
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
