Job summary

Park Place Seniors Living, at Prairie Lake Seniors Community, seeks a Maintenance Worker to care for building and grounds under the Site Leader and Maintenance Supervisor. You will handle preventative maintenance, manage work orders, and support safety programs.

The role requires a High School diploma, 2 years’ experience, and strong English communication, teamwork, and ability to read drawings; snow removal and safety duties are included.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant maintenance experience preferred.
  • Equivalences may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure checks are completed, logged and documented.
  • Maintain building safety and operability.
  • Oversee building envelope and grounds maintenance.
  • Execute work orders and preventive maintenance via Maintenance Care.
  • Paint vacant suites and touch up common areas.
  • Prioritize items needing attention and repair.
  • Perform routine, scheduled and emergency maintenance.
  • Support the home’s fire safety program.
  • Winter: keep sidewalks, patios and exits free of ice and snow; shovel/salt as required.
  • Available to work Monday to Friday or as scheduled by Site Leader.
