Job summary

Urgo Hotels & Resorts Canada is seeking a part-time maintenance technician for the Marriott Courtyard Laval. Under the maintenance director, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure the safety, comfort and proper operation of the hotel's facilities.

You will collaborate with hotel teams to respond to repair requests, assist with building systems, and help maintain a safe, well‑functioning environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in building maintenance or related field (asset).
• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position.
• Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, painting and general building maintenance.
• Ability to use maintenance tools and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance work according to established schedules.
• Carry out repairs related to the building, equipment and hotel facilities.
• Conduct regular inspections to detect anomalies or failures.
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure smooth daily activities.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from various departments and guests; ensure building safety and act as first responder in emergencies.
• Banquet room setup.
• Keep technical spaces and equipment clean, safe and functional.
• Comply with occupational health and safety standards and company guidelines.
• Perform any other tasks related to the position.

YOUR ROLE

Under the supervision of the maintenance director, the maintenance technician ensures the proper functioning, preventive maintenance and safety of the hotel's facilities. The person in this position works closely with the various departments to provide a safe, functional environment that complies with the company's quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
