Salary: $23 - $24 per hour

Schedule: Full-time; Tuesday - Saturday; 8am - 5pm

Maintenance Technician Purpose:

The Maintenance Technician I is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Team in maintaining the physical integrity of the community, in a manner consistent with Thrive’s Values. This involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor. In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will assume all maintenance responsibilities.

Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment and tools as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
  • Diagnoses and performs minor or routine maintenance and repairs within homes and throughout the property.
  • Inspects and helps coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services.
  • Assists in keeping grounds neat and free of litter.
  • Performs any additional duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
  • Contributes to a positive team environment and maintains a happy base.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

  • Prior maintenance experience in property management is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient in unit turns and appliance repair is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative on tasks and projects.
  • Willing to work weekends and the listed schedule days.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.
  • Supplies own tools.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk or sit depending on daily needs, approximately 66%-100% of the time.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, and reaching above shoulder level.
  • Ability to lift/move/push/pull up to 150 lbs occasionally, with frequent need to lift/push/pull 25-75 lbs, and be on your feet most of the day.
