Job summary

AgeCare Glenwarren in Victoria, BC is seeking an Environmental Services Assistant (Casual/Part-time) to perform routine repairs, basic maintenance, cleaning and exterior upkeep. The role includes minor plumbing, painting, caulking and winter snow/ice responsibilities in a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, can follow English instructions, and understands OH&S regulations. Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Joint Occupational Health and Safety regulations (WCB/CCAL).

Responsibilities

• Complete minor repair work on doors, locks, blinds, lights, sockets and switches.
• Perform basic plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains and fixing leaks.
• Patch, paint, caulk and perform general maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintain outdoor areas and shovel snow/ice as required.
