AgeCare Glenwarren in Victoria, BC is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Environmental Services Assistant) to perform routine repairs, minor maintenance, cleaning, and outdoor upkeep as part of a compassionate care team.

The role requires a High School Diploma, ability to follow English instructions, knowledge of OH&S regulations, and a willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check. This casual on-site position pays $27.10 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Knowledge of Joint Occupational Health and Safety regulations aligned with WCB and CCAL Act.
• Willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check (Criminal Background Check).

Responsibilities

• Completing minor repair work (doors, locks, window screens, blinds) and replacing light bulbs, sockets, and switches.
• Performing basic plumbing tasks (unclogging drains, fixing leaking faucets and toilets).
• Patching, painting, and caulking.
• Regular cleaning duties (sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming).
• Maintaining outdoor areas and shoveling snow and ice as required.

What You Will Do

• Maintaining all outdoor areas as well as shoveling snow and ice as required.
