Hourly rate of pay : $47.87

Job Summary

To build, inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, maintain, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment in support of manufacturing activities.

Tasks

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant equipment.
• Read mechanical and electrical blueprints, drawing, diagrams, instructions, etc.
• Complete records and documentation as required.
• Interface with suppliers and outside support personnel.
• Work in a safe manner, demonstrating good workmanship and practices.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification in Industrial Mechanic and Industrial Electrician.
• Level One (Gas Technician GT-1) is preferred, but not required
• Proven commitment to workplace safety.
• Must have knowledge of plant safety policies and procedures.
• Requires standing, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs. This includes above and below shoulder level.
• Basic Computer Skills - MS Office components and Adobe Acrobat
• Fundamental understanding of Preventative Maintenance Programs [CMMS]
• Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot various type of industrial equipment from basic to complex.
• Ability to read equipment blueprints / schematics.
• The ability to safely operate power / hand tools and all related safety equipment.
• Available to work all shifts :
• Weekday days : 6 : 00 a.m. – 4 : 00 p.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR
• Weekday afternoons : 4 : 00 p.m. – 2 : 00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs) OR
• Weekend days : 6 : 00 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours) OR
• Weekend afternoons : 5 : 00 p.m. – 4 : 00 a.m. (Fri, Sat, Sun; paid for 40 hours)

The starting rate for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) is $47.87 per hour. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, retirement and / or other benefits.
