Position : Maintenance Technician (Dual Ticket Millwright and Electrician)

Hourly rate of pay : $47.87

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Cambridge, Ontario facility. Each team member plays a critical role in BWXT Canada's success by ensuring we meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations. Our employees are industry leaders, demonstrating high skill levels daily.

Job Summary : To build, inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment supporting manufacturing activities.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Complete records and documentation as required.
  • Interface with suppliers and support personnel.
  • Work safely, demonstrating good workmanship and practices.

Qualifications :

  • Certificate of Qualification in Industrial Mechanic and Industrial Electrician.
  • Level One (Gas Technician GT-1) preferred but not required.
  • Proven commitment to safety.
  • Knowledge of plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs, including above and below shoulder level.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat).
  • Understanding of Preventative Maintenance Programs (CMMS).
  • Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment from basic to complex.
  • Ability to read blueprints / schematics.
  • Operate power and hand tools safely.
  • Available to work all shifts : weekday days, weekday afternoons, weekend days, or weekend afternoons.

  • Experience in heavy manufacturing environments.
