Job summary

BGRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Calgary, AB, to ensure high-level service to tenants and to support safe, reliable operation of building systems. The role involves preventative and corrective maintenance, responding to service requests, and assisting with day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate will have a hands-on, service-oriented approach, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to prioritize urgent requests.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience with pumps, motors, boilers, chillers, and air‑handling equipment.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance, equipment operation, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
• Firsthand knowledge of plumbing, lighting, and mechanical repairs is an asset.
• CMMS experience is an asset; reading manuals and procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to tenant service requests promptly and professionally.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building equipment (pumps, boilers, chillers, motors, air handling).
• Troubleshoot equipment and identify potential maintenance issues.
• Perform mechanical repairs such as bearing and seal replacements.
• Support day-to-day building operations and maintain documentation.
