Position Details

• Position: Maintenance Technician
• Location: Vaughan, ON
• Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
• Industry: Manufacturing / HVAC / Maintenance
• Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent
• Schedule: Day shift

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine breakdown issues and/or to order necessary parts.
• Troubleshoot repairs, install parts with a working knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems for efficient repair.
• Conduct and perform planned preventive & predictive maintenance and keep maintenance records.
• Minimize production downtime by responding promptly to production calls.
• Comply with all regulations related to equipment for a manufacturing facility.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions.
• Maintain records of all maintenance activities daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Post-Secondary Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 4 - 5 years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Hands-on experience in machine maintenance.
• Experience in metal manufacturing plant is a definite asset.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
