Job summary

Colonial Group in Tecumseh, Ontario, is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic Millwright to assist with facility and equipment maintenance across all company locations. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform preventive maintenance, routine repairs and assist with installation of new machinery.

Key requirements include 433A Millwright certification, knowledge of electrical controls, HVAC and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, with the ability to read blueprints and operate forklifts

Qualifications

• Minimum experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
• 433A Millwright certification is a strong asset.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow Preventive Maintenance schedule to perform facility and equipment maintenance activities.
• Perform routine facility and equipment repairs.
• Perform urgent repairs as necessary.
• Order required parts and supplies after purchase approval.
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts.
• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions.
• Assist with heating and cooling systems troubleshooting.
• Assist in assembling new machinery and equipment prior to installation and in installing, if required.
• Adjust machinery and equipment to proper settings.
• Operate forklift, overhead crane, elevated platform, hand tools, read blueprints.
• May require rigging, handling, centering, work at elevation; bearing, etc.
• Adhere to safe operating procedures at all times.
• Adhere to lock out procedures during machinery shutdown.
• Other duties as required.

Summary:

Job Terms:

Permanent, Full-Time. Day Shift.

Responsibilities:

• Follow Preventive Maintenance schedule to perform facility and equipment maintenance activities
• Perform routine facility and equipment repairs
• Perform urgent repairs, as necessary
• Order required parts and supplies after purchase is approved by the supervisor
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts

• 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright Journeyman certification is a strong asset
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic controls, lathes/mills and other machining tools, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, HVAC
• Working at heights /Elevated platform certification is an asset
• Willingness and ability to learn required machinery is a must

• Ability to work multi-task, work under pressure, prioritize and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
• Must possess a valid driver's license
