Job summary

EllisDon Corporation in Ottawa is seeking a PT Maintenance III / Maintenance Engineer to repair, install and maintain plumbing, mechanical, electrical systems and related equipment. You’ll perform preventive maintenance and cover the Building Operator duties when needed, including emergency responses.

A Fourth Class Stationary Engineer license or equivalent is required, with a minimum of 3 years in maintenance or construction.

You as a PT Maintenance III / Maintenance Engineer will:

Repair, install, and maintain plumbing/mechanical/electrical equipment and engineered systems. These include domestic and hot water systems, sanitary and storm drainage systems, heating, power, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems. Also, perform maintenance as per the preventative maintenance schedule with the goal of ensuring optimum performance of building and utility systems. Also, performs Building Operators’ role during vacation and sickness periods, and responds to emergency calls.

Is this the right role for you?

• Mandatory Fourth Class Stationary Engineer or relevant trade equivalent, with any required license or certification valid for work in Ontario.
• Must be willing to work evening and weekends.
• Must have and maintain a current license or certification in the trade.
• Experience with all aspects of plumbing and HVAC equipment, as well knowledge of fire alarm systems, water testing equipment, and dietary equipment would be beneficial.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance/construction environment.
• Position is 15 hours bi-weekly –Weekend day shift (7am to 3pm Sat and Sun / weekend, evening, holiday and overnight work may be required, as needed). Hourly rate is: $38.82
