Job summary

WestUrban Developments Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our multi-family residential properties in Kelowna, BC and Vernon, BC. The role focuses on painting, drywall patching, basic repairs, and proactive building upkeep, ensuring safe, well-maintained living spaces for residents.

On-site, part-time work with a competitive hourly wage between CAD 26.00 and CAD 30.00, plus opportunities to grow within a dynamic team that values reliability, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the property management and/or construction industry would be an asset.
• Ability to use physical exertion that includes lifting, carrying, climbing ladders and moving materials.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a results-oriented approach.
• Ability to think creatively when problem solving, proactively adapting to challenges.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships and to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Painting, drywall patching, mudding, and taping.
• Detecting faulty operations, defective materials, and reporting deficiencies.
• Maintain building exterior including basic ground maintenance.
• Perform repairs to windows, blinds, doors, switches, plugs, appliances, fixtures, and carpet tile replacement.
• Diagnosis and repair plumbing, heating, and electrical problems.
