Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting in providing effective and preventive machine/equipment/building maintenance to enable the company to maintain optimum production capability and product/service quality assurance, with safety at the forefront. The training period is expected to be a year depending on the level of experience and technical skill. This role is located in Heyco Reading, PA and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $25.66/hr plus weekly production incentive

Schedule: 7am - 3 pm First Shift Training

Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance of all process equipment within the facility.
• Learn the preventative maintenance schedule.
• Assist in building maintenance.
• Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools.
• Proficient in the operation, preparation, and shutdown of equipment.
• Proficient in welding, pipe fitting, hydraulics, electrical (3 phase 480, PLC knowledge), and machine repair.
• Cross-training required in the roll grind shop.
• Trained and follow hot work program.
• Trained and follow working at heights program.
• Trained and follow Arc Flash program.
• Able to be approved to wear a tight-fitting respirator requiring fit testing.
• Able to be certified in forklift operation.
• Able to be certified in High lift operation.

Qualifications

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Able to work overtime or on call.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Pick up ordered maintenance parts, as needed utilizing the company van – driver's license required.
