The Prince George Hotel is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities running smoothly, safe and guest-ready. You’ll handle routine upkeep and repairs across building systems to ensure a high standard of operations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry, solid troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety. Weekend and on-call availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or building maintenance experience required.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems and carpentry.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety and maintaining high standards.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and on-call if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
• Maintain interior and exterior areas to a high standard of appearance
• Conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical systems to avoid breakdowns
• Respond quickly and efficiently to maintenance requests from all departments
• Complete renovations and in-house repair projects as needed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in a safe and organized manner
• Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and potential risks
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations
• Provide friendly, professional service when interacting with guests and team members
• Continuously build skills and knowledge through training opportunities
