Job summary

Weldco-Beales Manufacturing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our shop in peak condition, maintaining equipment and performing preventative maintenance. You will troubleshoot and repair machinery, support production, and ensure safety standards are followed.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in maintenance, with millwright experience preferred, and are adept at operating lathes and grinders to fabricate parts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Lock Out and Fall Arrest training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years related maintenance experience, millwright experience a plus.
• Knowledge of manufacturing tools, safety practices, and equipment care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality service to internal clients and respond promptly to requests.
• Perform preventative maintenance on shop equipment and tools.
• Repair broken equipment and perform lockouts as needed.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and replace defective parts as required.
• Operate machine tools (lathes, grinders) to fabricate parts.

Who Are You?

Reporting to the General Foreman, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping shop in working order, includes building and equipment used for manufacturing.

What Will You Do?

• Provide quality customer service to internal clients
• Respond to requests in a prompt and expeditious manner
• Produce exceptional quality workmanship on finished products.

Workplace Safety

• Monitor, ensure and always promote workplace safety
• Practice and adhere to safety in the workplace and ensures that the well-being of oneself and the others are not endangered in the plant
• Comply to, ensure and adhere to safety regulations, policies and procedures.

Maintenance

• Ensure all equipment’s longevity & safe working operations
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on all WBM equipment from Machine Shop equipment to power tools
• Repair all broken equipment and perform Lock outs when required.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair or replace defective parts, and make suggestions for potential improvements.
• Confident in operating machine tools such as lathes & grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set up of machinery.
• Follow preventative maintenance programs, maintain records and safety.

Education:

• High school diploma
• Lock Out training
• Fall Arrest training

Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of related experience
• Millwright experience is an asset

Knowledge

• Good knowledge of the manufacturing industry, our Company, products and services.
• In-depth knowledge of all tools and equipment and their use and care
• In-depth knowledge of all safety practices
