Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service a healthcare client across multiple facilities in Beaumont, AB. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and emergency service calls within a Monday–Friday framework with periodic weekend rotation.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, installing equipment, estimating repair needs, and supporting energy management while complying with codes and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and operate in a facilities environment.

• Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

• Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.

Job description

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment for a healthcare client. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function and focuses on providing preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and responding to emergency service calls across multiple facilities.

The position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with an occasional weekend rotation approximately every two months. A valid driver's license. Candidates with general maintenance experience. Strong troubleshooting skills, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining safe and efficient facility operations are essential for success in this position.

• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
