Job summary

Canad Inns, based in Manitoba, seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to care for hotel rooms and equipment, including plumbing, HVAC, and decor. The role requires hands-on maintenance, the ability to work inside and outside, and physical fitness for lifting and heights.

You will perform preventative maintenance, repair appliances and fixtures, and contribute to a clean, safe guest environment while supporting the team and operations of Canad Inns.

Qualifications

• Prior work experience as a Maintenance Technician is required.
• Handyman skills with a variety of experience are essential.
• Ability to work at heights of 10'.
• Physically fit and able to lift 50lbs safely.

Responsibilities

• Mantains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
• Repairs appliances and bathroom fixtures; handles general plumbing.
• Makes rooms look presentable: paint, mirrors, fixtures, decor.
• Repairs HVAC systems and performs preventative maintenance.
• Repairs furniture, carpet, tile, and decorations as necessary.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various equipment and systems within our facility.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains rooms in operating condition by performing repairs as needed.
• Repairs all appliances and damaged bathroom fixtures; executes general plumbing as needed.
• Maintains overall appearance of rooms; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, painting, etc.
• Repairs and maintains room's heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems
• Performs preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary.
• All other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Prior work experience as a Maintenance Technician is required.
• Must have handyman skills with a variety of experience.
• Must be able to work at heights of 10'.
• Must be physically fit & lift 50lbs safely.
• Must work inside/outside in all seasons.
