Job summary

Custom Castings, a member of the Nordstern Group, seeks a proactive Maintenance Supervisor/Shift Leader to oversee daily facility and equipment operations. You will manage a team of maintenance technicians, lead troubleshooting efforts, and ensure work orders are completed efficiently to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate blends technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems with strong leadership, safety focus, and PM optimization.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience with leadership exposure
• Strong proficiency in mechanical systems and electrical troubleshooting (up to 480V)
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS
• Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright certification is an asset
• Experience coordinating with vendors and contractors

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule maintenance staff, assign work orders by skill and priority
• Lead hands-on troubleshooting and repair of machinery and facility equipment
• Execute and optimize preventive maintenance schedule to maximize reliability
• Enforce safety procedures, lock-out/tag-out and local standards
• Track parts usage, inventory and coordinate with third-party contractors
• Document failures, root-cause analyses and shift metrics in CMMS
