This role is permanent full-time with a standard 37.5 hour work week and eligibility for overtime.
Night Shift : 11.00 PM - 7.00 AM
Key Responsibilities :
- Contribute to day-to-day projects and LTP expectations through the leading and execution of maintenance projects, such as troubleshooting, executing PM, corrective maintenance, and assisting the Maintenance team.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Maintenance team, providing feedback and conducting formal evaluations to ensure employees have the right resource skills, competencies, and expertise to meet departmental and agreed-upon objectives of the company.
- Complete administrative duties within the department, such as approving employee overtime, leading Dayforce updates, and ensuring vacation schedules are distributed and approved in a timely manner.
- Lead shift handover meetings daily, providing project updates, assigning jobs, and communicating countermeasures when applicable.
- Support Maintenance Cost Containment objectives by tracking labor OT.
- Conduct workplace inspections at the assigned company location regarding safety, GMP violations, production line, and equipment issues.
- Be an example for others by always directing and performing work in a safe manner and following the company’s health and safety policy and procedures.
Recipe for Success :
- Post-secondary education in Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of prior maintenance supervisory experience in a production-manufacturing environment (experience within food services / baking is a strong asset).
- Excellent problem solver with strong troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced working knowledge of mechanical / electrical systems and components.
- Working knowledge and experience in Automation; Industrial Process and Control systems; PLC; Measuring Devices; Instrumentation; Robotic Applications; Bulk Handling Systems.
- Working knowledge and experience in Facility Maintenance and Plant Equipment.
- Planning, scheduling, and assigning ability while well experienced in defining priorities, required skills, and resources.
- Computer-savvy; holds practical knowledge on CMMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in direction based on business requirements.
- Being an example for others; a Safety-Oriented Supervisor with a positive “can do” attitude.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication (verbal and written) skills.
