Job summary

Give & Go Prepared Foods Corp. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role involves directing troubleshooting, PM activities, and corrective maintenance while ensuring safety and GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience in production-manufacturing.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge.
• Experience with Automation, PLCs, instrumentation, and robotics.
• Experience with facility maintenance and plant equipment.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and prioritization abilities.
• Proficient with CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Safety-oriented with a positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Maintenance team, including coaching and evaluations.
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance projects, troubleshooting, PM, corrective work.
• Approve overtime, Dayforce updates, vacation schedules.
• Lead shift handover meetings, provide project updates and allocate tasks.
• Support cost containment by tracking labor OT.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections and address GMP violations, equipment issues.
• Model safe work practices and enforce health and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to day-to-day projects and LTP expectations through the leading and execution of maintenance projects, such as through troubleshooting, executing PM, corrective maintenance and assisting the Maintenance team:
• Lead, coach, and develop the Maintenance team, including providing feedback and conducting formal evaluations, to ensure employees have the right resource skills, competencies, and expertise to meet departments and agreed-upon objectives of the company:
• Completion of administrative duties within the department such as approving employee over-time, leading Dayforce updates, and ensuring vacation schedules are distributed and approved in a timely manner
• Lead shift hand over meetings on a daily basis, providing project updates, assigning jobs, and communicate counter measures when applicable
• Support Maintenance Cost Containment objectives by tracking labor OT
• Conduct workplace inspections at the assigned company location regarding safety, GMP violations, production line and equipment issues:
• Be an example for others by always directing and performing work in a safe manner and following company’s health and safety policy and procedures

Recipe For Success

• Post-secondary education in Engineering or related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of prior maintenance supervisory experience in a production-manufacturing environment (within food services/baking a strong asset)
• Excellent problem solver with strong troubleshooting skills
• Advanced working knowledge on mechanical/electrical systems and components
• Working knowledge and experience on Automation; Industrial Process and Control system; PLC; Measuring Devices; Instrumentation; Robotic Application; Bulk Handling System
• Working knowledge and experience on Facility Maintenance and Plant Equipment
• Planning, scheduling & assigning ability while well experienced in defining priorities, required skills & resources
• Computer-savvy; holds practical knowledge on CMMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point)
• Multitasked in a fast-paced environment with lots of changes in direction based on business requirement
• Being an example for others; a Safety-Oriented Supervisor with a positive “can do attitude
