Boardwalk is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee renovations, ensure health, comfort and safety, and perform on-call maintenance in our resident communities in Edmonton. You will address requests within 72 hours, coordinate with the Customer Care Team, and maintain high-quality standards across suites and common areas.

Applicants should have 2+ years of renovation experience, strong English, a reliable vehicle, and the endurance to lift heavy loads.

Qualificações

• Ensure contractors complete their work per established quality standards
• Participate in training and engage in continuous learning
• Assist with snow removal as needed
• Complete all required administration for the position on a tablet
• Complete other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

Experience and Educational Requirements

• 2+ years of renovation experience

Technical Requirements

• Working knowledge of English language both verbal and written


• Familiarity with technology is required


• Painting and finishes - cleaning, sanding, priming, painting, textured surfaces


• Plumbing - repair and install toilets, sinks, faucets, valves, run power auger to clear blocked lines


• Electrical - replacing light fixtures, switches and receptacles


• Drywall - repair


• Countertops - repair, replace


• Floors - repair laminate, carpet, tiles, and install, repair baseboards

Nice to have

• Additional skills and experience in framing, tiling, drywall, flooring, and plumbing


• Basic knowledge of hydronic heating systems and furnaces


• Doors, windows, and cabinets - repair, replace, and install


• Locks - repair, replace, rekey, and mastering


• Appliance - repair and install


• Asbestos abatement certification

Non-Technical Requirements

• Ensure to have majority of the tools on the tool list (list provided during interview)


• Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment (at any location as needed)


• Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting


• Ability to maneuver up to 90 kg with the proper equipment


• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service


• Ability to fix the problem correctly the first time


• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

Additional Requirements

• Must have a reliable vehicle and clean driving record


• Valid driver's license
