Job summary

Thorwin Properties is seeking a Maintenance/Service Technician in Winnipeg to perform general maintenance and repair across apartment homes and buildings. The role requires installing, maintaining appliances, and completing minor repairs with a focus on resident satisfaction.

Applicants should have post-secondary education or trade cert (asset) and a minimum of 3 years in construction or building maintenance. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or trade certification considered an asset.
• Minimum 3 years experience in construction or building maintenance.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Appliance installation and repair (washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, microwave, oven, dishwasher, etc.).
• Renovations, repairs, tenant improvements.
• Millwork/ carpentry repairs and installation.
• Drywall repairs and installation.
• Interior and exterior painting.
• Variety of other trades and related work (carpet tile, VCT, light framing, etc.).
• Interact with residents in a professional manner.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members and other departments.

The successful candidate will perform tasks related to the general maintenance of the assigned apartment homes or buildings and will perform minor repair work, maintain, install, and repair appliances and equipment.
