Saputo, Inc. is a leading Canadian dairy processor, and this Maintenance Scheduler role is critical to sustaining our Maintenance and Reliability program across facilities in Saskatoon. You will coordinate maintenance tasks, preventative work, and emergency requests while aligning with production schedules.

Qualifications

  • A Technical qualification or Trade Ticket.
  • Excellent with advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in Planning and scheduling in the food industry is considered an asset.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional is considered an asset.
  • Knowledgeable about Lean Six Sigma processes and terminology.
  • Experience with safe work practices, such as Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), confined spaces, job task permitting, etc.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as FIIX, SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Determines available manpower in conjunction with maintenance Planner and vacation schedules.
  • Determines priority of work using the RAM (Risk Assessment Method).
  • Creates weekly and daily schedules based on work planned by Planner.
  • Determines equipment availability in conjunction with operations scheduling.
  • Coordinates with the Maintenance team and other stakeholders for scheduling and execution of tasks.
  • Develops weekly and shutdown schedules as required.
  • Balances labor resources and priorities.
  • Manages maintenance backlog.
  • Coordinates and schedules work for third parties and contractors.
  • Ensures all maintenance activities are tracked and documented.
  • Communicates equipment and job order status to appropriate people and departments.
  • Communicates regularly with management about the status of maintenance activities.
  • Liaises with other departments to ensure understanding of the schedule.
  • Generates Maintenance reports and KPIs.
  • Complies with safety and food safety rules and regulations.
  • Collaborates with material coordinator for inventory management of maintenance supplies.

Overview of the Role

The role of the Maintenance Scheduler is critical to the ongoing success of the Maintenance and Reliability effort. The Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance tasks and activities across our facilities. The job will include scheduling, coordinating preventative maintenance, responding to emergency maintenance requests, and managing maintenance of team resources.

Salary $61,985.00 to $77,480.00

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Other duties performed as assigned.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
