Job summary

Perma Corp is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Edmonton, Alberta to ensure safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and fleet assets. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs while maintaining detailed records and supporting a proactive safety culture.

The role emphasizes 5S, teamwork across departments, and adherence to lockout/tagout requirements to minimize downtime and promote a safe, productive workplace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyperson certification in a mechanical or related trade preferred.
• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery, facility systems, and fleet assets.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and related issues.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation for compliance and KPI tracking.
• Support 5S principles and continuous improvement in the maintenance area.
• Coordinate with vendors and external techs for specialized repairs as needed.
• Ensure safety policies, LOTO procedures, and regulatory requirements are followed.
