Job summary

IPEX in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our manufacturing team. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance work to keep operations running smoothly on a Monday-Friday schedule. This role requires strong administrative and CMMS skills.

You will collaborate with the maintenance leadership team, manage spare parts inventory, and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of industrial maintenance operations.
  • Experience using CMMS or maintenance management software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of inventory management and spare parts control.
  • Experience with 5S methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • Working knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate maintenance work assignments with the maintenance leadership team.
  • Assist in the development and management of preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Manage inventory levels and coordinate the procurement of spare and replacement parts.
  • Create, update, and maintain work orders within the MES and CMMS platforms.
  • Optimize preventative maintenance programs through detailed analysis and scheduling improvements.
  • Review preventative and predictive maintenance findings and develop corrective action work orders.
  • Identify and document safety requirements, permits, and special procedures for maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers as required.
  • Support Health & Safety, environmental management systems, 5S initiatives, and energy conservation programs.

Location: Mississauga, ON. Pay: $36.00 - $43.00 per hour. Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

What You'll Do:

As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Maintenance Department through effective planning, scheduling, inventory control, and maintenance coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance work assignments in collaboration with the maintenance leadership team.
  • Assist in the development and management of preventative maintenance schedules.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities.
