Job summary

OmniaBio is a technology-driven CDMO located in Hamilton, Ontario, focused on cell and gene therapies. The Maintenance Planner role coordinates work orders and preventive maintenance to support cGMP activities, collaborating with the Facilities & Engineering team to optimize the schedule and minimize downtime affecting revenue.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in GMP pharma or labs, hands-on SAP PM experience, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in Science, Engineering, or Technology field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ GMP pharmaceutical or laboratory experience.
  • Previous experience with SAP and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage CMMS SAP PM module to support site maintenance requirements.
  • Provide SME support to Facilities & Engineering team using SAP PM.
  • Coordinate security system access and camera system management.
  • Oversee vendor approvals including legal, financial and quality aspects.
  • Ensure availability of parts for scheduled work orders and production consumables.
  • Maintain weekly MRP report for inventoried items and coordinate purchasing.
  • Coordinate internal and external maintenance activities with landlords.
  • Develop and maintain equipment BOM and spare parts inventory.
  • Schedule inventory cycle counts and generate accuracy reports.
  • Manage PM forms, master forms and SOPs via change control.
  • Generate periodic status reports on Maintenance Orders, Inventory, scheduling.
  • Improve paperless maintenance records and support SAP training.
  • Support change control, CAPA, and deviations for facilities and engineering.
  • Maintain record retention and archival system for maintenance docs.
  • Assist regulatory and internal audits relating to SAP and records.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Planner role is a critical part of the OmniaBio team and is responsible for the planning and coordination of work orders and preventive maintenance (PM) orders to support cGMP activities. This role works closely with all functional areas to ensure all service requirements are met while minimizing downtime to the revenue generation of the business, by collaborating with other functional planner on a daily basis to optimize the schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the management of the CMMS relating to SAP PM Module to support the site maintenance requirements. Experience with quantitative preventative maintenance modules is an asset
  • Provide SME support to the Facilities & Engineering team with the use of the SAP PM module
  • Manage the security system including badge access and camera system.
  • Coordinate all facilities and engineering vendor approval activities including legal, financial and quality.
  • Support group activities to ensure availability of parts for scheduled work orders and production consumables.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Group to accurately manage the weekly MRP report for inventoried items.
  • Coordination of internal and external maintenance activities, including landlord and their representatives.
  • Issue requisitions for non-inventoried items with input from the Facilities & Engineering team.
  • Develop and maintain equipment bill of materials (BOM), including spare part inventory, working with the engineering team.
  • Order inventory items based on the schedule for the demand requirements of each item to reduce the overall inventory from both cost and space requirements.
  • Create and maintain inventory nomenclature and warehouse locations to ensure accuracy and easy accessibility.
  • Schedule and maintain cycle counting of inventoried items. Accuracy reports are to be generated to determine system efficiency.
  • Management of PM Forms, Master Forms and SOPs through change control.
  • Generation of periodic status reports relating to Maintenance Order and PM status, Inventory Management and others relating to scheduling as required.
  • Optimization of paperless maintenance records.
  • Implement and support training for all groups as it relates to Maintenance SAP use.
  • Support and/or lead Facilities and Engineering change control, CAPA, and deviations.
  • To manage the record retention and archival system of Maintenance records and documentation in a well labelled, organized manner that enables efficient retrieval.
  • Regulatory, Customer and Internal Audit support relating to SAP and maintenance records.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Post secondary education in Science, Engineering, or Technology field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a GMP pharmaceutical or laboratory environment.
  • Previous experience with SAP.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite.
