Job summary

Big White Ski Resort in Kelowna, BC is seeking a Maintenance Parts Admin to source, order, receive and inventory parts for vehicles, ski lifts and building maintenance on the mountain.

This full-time, on-site role supports summer and winter operations, working closely with maintenance managers and the VP of Operations to ensure parts flow smoothly and efficiently.

Eligible for medical/dental benefits, RPP and a personal seasons pass.

Qualifications

• Trades certification or strong background in parts and inventory administration.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Knowledge of ski lift and snow grooming equipment is an asset.
• Valid BC Class 5 driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain on-site parts inventory system.
• Source parts from local and OEM suppliers.
• Coordinate orders with department managers.
• Manage part delivery and verify invoices.
• Ensure correct distribution of parts to teams.
• Validate deliveries and fuel usage for billing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service.

Description

Maintenance Parts Admin

Working closely with the Vehicle Maintenance Manager, Lift Maintenance Manager, Building Maintenance Manager, and VP of Operations, the Maintenance Parts Admin is responsible for sourcing, ordering, receiving, inventorying, and coordinating the overall logistics of parts and supplies required for vehicles, ski lifts, and building maintenance operations. The position is integral to supporting the various operations teams to ensure everything operates smoothly and efficiently.

This position is located at Big White Mountain, and is full-time year round supporting both summer and winter operations.

What You'll Do

• Create and maintain an inventory system for parts on site
• Source parts from local and OEM suppliers
• Work with department Managers in regards to ordering
• Coordinate logistics of getting parts and materials from supplier to departments on mountain
• Receive parts and validate invoices
• Insure parts are distributed to correct individual
• Validate deliveries and usage of fuel insuring the appropriate departments are being billed
• Perform other related tasks, as assigned by management
• Uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times

What You Bring

• Trades certification and/or strong background in parts and inventory administration
• Good working knowledge of computer programs. Ie; excel, word, Outlook
• Knowledge of ski lift and snow grooming equipment an asset
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license
• Proven self-motivation, ability to work well with minimum supervision
• Mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrate strong organization, time management and communication skills
• Must have a high level of attention to detail
• Work well within a diverse team environment
• Flexible availability: including evenings, early mornings, weekends and statutory holidays
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes (-25 to +30)

Role Requirements

• Must be able to sit, stand and walk for periods over the duration of the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry 25kg (55lbs) at times.
• Must be able to kneel, bend, twist, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill duties.
• Requires grasping, tool use, writing, standing, sitting, driving, shoveling, repetitive motions, climbing, visual acuity, listening and hearing ability.
