Job summary

Nestlé in London, Ontario, is seeking a Maintenance Millwright (433A) to join the London Ice Cream Plant maintenance team. This on-site role focuses on maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment used in ice cream production and packaging.

The ideal candidate is a certified Industrial Millwright (433A) with experience in industrial maintenance and, preferably, packaging equipment or food manufacturing facilities.

Qualifications

• Certified Industrial Millwright (433A) with packaging equipment experience preferred.
• Experience in an industrial maintenance environment, preferably in food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment related to ice cream manufacturing and packaging.
• Follow TPM guidelines and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work 8-hour shifts with paid lunches and maintain a safe, clean workspace.

• Hourly wage of $44.15/hr + shift premiums (midnight shift $1.20/hour and afternoon shift $0.90/hour) – wage increases January 1st of each year as per the collective agreement

A day in the life of...

• 8 Hour shifts with paid lunches
• Temperature controlled, clean and pleasant work environment
• Follow all job-related guidelines and procedures for personal safety, food safety, environment and company security (including but not limited to lockout/tag out, use of P.P.E.'s, Hazard Analysis, chemical and product spills, recycling) as required
• Maintain and trouble-shoot all equipment related to the making and packaging of Ice Cream
• Participate in Total Performance Management (TPM) and work group activities as required
• Support continuous improvement and capital projects
• Other duties as assigned by management

What Will Make You Successful

• Certified as an Industrial Millwright with a 433A designation
• Experience in an industrial maintenance environment
• Preference will be given to candidates with packaging equipment experience, and/or experience in a food manufacturing facility
• Upgrading and fabricating machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in industrial establishment
• A good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, and all the components involved in these processes, such as valves, cylinders, and pumps
• Total Performance Management (TPM) experience an asset
