As an expert, you will bring deep technical mastery of the process and equipment. This expertise allows you to lead the planning, process development, and implementation of Planned Maintenance Elements in a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environment. You will manage this through teams consisting of various technical and non-technical personnel, key support contractors, and operations personnel.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Partner & enable the line leader(s) to deliver the SQCDSM targets—Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability & Morale—for the lines, to ensure process stability; participate in the DMS—Daily Management Systems meetings at the shift and line level.
  • Own the technology and process and centerline settings for the equipment and process, and have deep technical mastery of the process and equipment; own the PM—Progressive Maintenance systems and work processes, and the PM-Progressive Maintenance Key Performance Indicators for the line(s), along with Centerline Management systems; own the R&M—Repairs & Maintenance budget of the line.
  • Develop, own, and execute the line(s) preventive and time-based maintenance systems and plans, and build the team’s capability to execute them independently; spend at least 50% of time building technical and maintenance skills of technicians, so they can operate and maintain their equipment; be part of the PMPillar, own all PM systems, and lead some at the department level.
  • Partner with the Asset and Reliability team for system improvements and execution of special maintenance tasks; be responsible for Change Management on the line(s), localization of spares, proper breakdown analysis, and R&M cost reduction; represent the department/line(s) as the site technology owner in regional and global forums.
  • Assist in VSU for new initiatives, enable the VSU team, support benchmarking, and be a subject matter expert on component categories, also training others on PM-related subjects for the plant.

If you are a motivated Millwright Technician with maintenance experience looking to join a progressive company in the CPG and food industry, this role requires technical expertise, understanding of automation and electronics, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment following manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation issues to minimize downtime.
  • Install, dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate across functions to optimize processes and implement improvements.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts, and repairs.
  • Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance timely and accurately.
  • Follow safety, GMP, 5S, and quality standards strictly.
  • Evaluate and restore equipment to baseline conditions.
  • Perform inspections and address abnormalities promptly.
  • Replace parts, adjust, and fabricate components when necessary.
  • Complete paperwork accurately, close work orders, and document PM completion.
  • Engage in Root Cause Analysis to resolve issues and prevent failures.
  • Use testing equipment, manuals, and schematics for troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to IL6S tools and systems development, including equipment classification and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Participate in the DMS cycle.
  • Contribute to changeovers and sanitation improvements, applying Poke Yoke and SMED methodologies.
  • Implement focused improvements to prevent failures.
  • Monitor KPIs like MTBF and stoppages to assess equipment performance.
  • Support PM pillar members in developing Asset Management training.
  • Promote continuous improvement using Kaizen principles.
  • Report hazards, cleanliness issues, or operational problems.
  • Maintain integrity and professionalism in all activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a licensed Millwright in the CPG or food industry.
  • High school diploma.
  • Strong understanding of automation, electronics, and mechanical principles.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
