Job summary

Kibbi in Hamilton, Ontario seeks a skilled maintenance technician to keep production equipment running smoothly. You will perform preventive maintenance, startups for scheduled runs, and respond to urgent repair needs with minimal supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with relevant experience and 433A trade certificate, familiarity with motors, pneumatics, and conveyors, and solid English communication. Overtime may be required and a basic tool kit is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Provide emergency / unscheduled / scheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Prepare and start up machinery and equipment for scheduled production runs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance activities and prioritizing tasks accordingly.
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems and production machines; following diagrams, operation manuals, manufactures instructions and engineering specifications and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Basic computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be willing to work overtime when required.
• Must have a basic tool kit. The employee tool allowance will allow for additional tools.
