Qualifications

• Good knowledge of industrial equipment and processes.

• Strong electrical, PLC and robotics background is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as mechanical expert for shutdowns and repairs.
• Improve reliability of production systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal, and production equipment.
• Read mechanical plans and drawings for repairs and installations.
• Repair buildings and ancillary systems as needed.
• Weld and fabricate to support repairs.
• Complete inspections of equipment and facilities.
• Ensure equipment safety at all times.

Job description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Mechanic Millwright performs tasks related to the proper functioning and repair of equipment for mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic aspects, works in collaboration with the majority of departments and provides technical support to the production experts while following the rules of occupational health and safety.

They can develop some tools by themselves or be a part of bigger projects. They offer solutions to fix the problems or failures on the process and makes themselves a pillar of the maintenance team and the lead spirit. Their skills and understanding of the production and automated equipment push them to continuously improve on production and industrial systems.

THE CHALLENGES WE HAVE FOR YOU

• Acting as a mechanical expert.
• Improving the reliability of the systems in place.
• Performing all required repairs as well as preventive maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, thermal, and production equipment.
• Reading mechanical plans and drawings.
• Performing necessary repairs to buildings and ancillary systems.
• Able to weld to make repairs and fabricate.
• Completing inspections of various equipment and facilities (machinery, buildings, etc.).
• Ensuring that pneumatic, hydraulic, thermal and mechanical equipment is safe at all times.

THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification (443a) and/or
• Diploma of collegial studies in mechanics and/or
• Two diplomas of vocational studies (related to the field)

Your Knowledge and Competencies:

• Good knowledge of industrial equipment
• Experience in a manufacturing plant
• Must have adriverslicence
• Strong electrical, PLC background, and Robotics background highly preferred
• CMMS experience is an asset.
