Job summary

Woodbine is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Etobicoke, Ontario. The role requires HVAC knowledge, solid mechanical skills and the ability to work with hand tools. You must hold a valid Ontario driver’s license (G or G2) and, where required, AGCO licenses, with WHMIS and safety procedures understood.

The position supports building maintenance, safety, and operations, including snow removal, daily records, and responding to emergencies. Weekend/overtime availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum grade 12 diploma.
• At least 2 years related experience in general building maintenance.
• Good understanding of HVAC equipment and systems.
• Own basic hand tools and a valid Ontario driver’s license (G/G2).
• AGCO licenses as required; WHMIS and Health & Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain railings, gates, TV hangers, doors, flag poles and grandstand seating.
• Maintain washrooms: repair water closets, urinals, wash basins, showers.
• Snow and ice removal including shoveling, salting and plowing.
• Respond to emergencies such as fire and water leaks.
• Complete work orders, logs and inspections, ensure records are up to date.
