Job summary

BGIS is seeking an HVAC Journeyperson, Apprentice or Maintenance Mechanic for a roving role in Kenora, ON and another Ontario location. You will operate facility systems, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and ensure uptime and safety across assigned facilities.

The role requires a provincial HVAC Certificate of Qualification (or active apprenticeship), a strong safety mindset, and the ability to respond to on-call emergencies while adhering to company processes and environmental,

Qualifications

Must hold a valid HVAC Certificate of Qualification (e.g. 313A in Ontario) or be a registered apprentice.
Gasfitter II license in addition to refrigeration license.
Experience in facility operations and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of fire, life safety, building codes and standards.
Willing to work shifts, on-call/standby and emergency calls.

Responsibilities

Installs air conditioning, heating, and related equipment and components.
Overhauls and services air conditioning, heating units and systems.
Repairs, replaces and adjusts worn or broken HVAC parts.
Repairs and adjusts valves, piping connections, fittings, and couplings.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with heating and air conditioning units and systems.
Monitors facility systems and performs preventive and corrective maintenance.
