Job summary

Buchner Manufacturing Inc. (BMI) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the Newmarket, ON facility. You will be responsible for the repair, troubleshooting and routine maintenance of stamping presses, roll forming, and automated assembly equipment in a JIT environment.

The role requires strong mechanical skills, experience with PLCs, pneumatics and hydraulics, and the ability to read blueprints. Work is performed on-site with PPE provided and safety guidelines in place.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills required.
• Experience with PLC programming is a plus.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is an asset.
• Conventional machining and grinding skills beneficial.
• Ability to read blueprints for milling and lathing.
• Forklift experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection and setup of production equipment.
• Perform maintenance on stamping presses and roll-forming equipment.
• Make modifications to machines as necessary and perform test runs.
• Ensure safety guards are in place and complete inspection reports.
