Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor at the Wheatley plant, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated, result driven individual who can thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

• Terms of Employment: This is a permanent full-time shift work position, 40 hrs/week.
• Hourly Wage: $40/hr
  
  

Responsibilities

• Day to Day maintenance of equipment
• Trouble shooting, preventive and predictive maintenance
• Communication with shift supervisors and managers
• Participation in or conducting training on familiarity with equipment
• Provide mechanical maintenance and set up of all related pack room process equipment
• Assembling equipment, mounting electrical boxes, retrieve parts for work in progress, painting, locating production equipment, general housekeeping of job site areas, cutting steel
• Welding, use of a cutting torch and terminating wires
• Other general maintenance duties as required
  
  

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Ticket
• Certified from a recognized Apprenticeship Program
• Ability to identify and use basic hand/power tools in a safe and efficient manner
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Willing and capable of completing necessary safety training (i.e. lockout, etc.)
• Ability to do some bending, lifting, climb stairs and ladders
• Must be able to read and interpret blue prints
• Must pass a practical job-related skills test (i.e. tools, measurement, welding)
• Experience with hi-speed packaging equipment will be considered an asset
• Experience in the food industry and general maintenance is an asset
• Computer skills and familiar with CMMS’s systems
