What You’ll Do

You’ll help repair a variety of construction equipment including diesel trucks, trailers, excavators, dozers, and more. You will learn the inner workings of each piece of equipment, become an expert, and expand your skills by working on different equipment daily. Your role is vital as we work together to reinvent the way our world is built.

If you have a few years of mechanic experience or equivalent education, prioritize safety, love troubleshooting, and take pride in your work, this is the career path for you.

Location: Windsor, CA

Shift: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8-12 hours per day. Weekends and overtime may be required.

Wage: $26.98 - $35.77/hr, DOE

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2-4 years’ diesel mechanic experience; completion of a diesel technology program may substitute up to 2 years of experience.
  • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and air systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Safety-minded professional with good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
  • Pass pre-employment physical and drug tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and shop equipment.
  • Dismantle equipment to replace defective parts.
  • Perform maintenance such as oil changes, fluid top-offs, and filter changes.
  • Repair electrical, hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
  • Operate computers and start equipment for testing.
  • Perform basic welding.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and promote safety.
  • Attend work regularly and participate in an inclusive environment.
Physical Requirements

Employees must frequently sit, climb, handle equipment, stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, reach, and lift up to 50-75 lbs. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

The work environment may include exposure to weather, noise, mechanical parts, and require PPE such as steel-toed boots.
