The role oversees preventive maintenance, contracts, and safety programs to support guest experiences and financial objectives.

The position reports to the Director of Operations and requires strong technical expertise, proactive leadership, and a focus on asset preservation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years in maintenance management within hotel, commercial, or similar environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, boilers, and life-safety systems.
• Experience managing preventive maintenance and coordinating contractors/vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, and performance of all building systems and infrastructure.
• Lead maintenance team, prioritize work, and ensure compliance with standards and safety.
• Coordinate with vendors, manage contracts, and monitor service delivery.
• Support capital projects, budgeting, and asset preservation strategies.
• Collaborate with hotel departments to maintain guest experience and asset reliability.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Overseetheoperation,maintenance,repair,andperformanceofallbuildingsystems,includingHVAC,refrigeration,boilers,chillers,coolingtowers,plumbing,electricalsystems,mechanicalequipment,poolsystems,lifesafetysystems,andbuildingcontrols.
• Ensureguestrooms,publicareas,back-of-housespaces,andexteriorgroundsaremaintainedtothehigheststandardsofsafety,functionality,andpresentation.
• Respondpromptlytomaintenanceissuesandoperationalchallengeswhileminimizingdisruptiontoguestsandhoteloperations.
• Monitorfacilityperformanceandidentifyopportunitiestoimprovereliability,operationalefficiency,andservicedelivery.
• Coordinate,prioritize,andsupervisemaintenanceactivitiestoensureworkiscompletedsafely,efficiently,andinaccordancewithestablishedstandards.
• Ensureroomsarereturnedtoserviceinatimelymannerbyeffectivelyprioritizingmaintenanceactivitiesandcoordinatingrepairs.

PreventiveMaintenance&AssetManagement

• Develop,administer,andcontinuouslyimprovethehotel'spreventivemaintenanceprogram.
• Schedule,track,andverifycompletionofpreventivemaintenancetasksforallequipmentandbuildingsystems.
• Conductroutineinspectionsofmaintenance,equipment,andguestareastoidentifymaintenancerequirementsandpotentialrisks.
• Maintainaccuraterecordsofmaintenanceactivities,equipmenthistories,warranties,inspections,permits,certifications,andregulatoryrequirements.
• Supportlong-termassetpreservationstrategies,equipmentlifecycleplanning,andreplacementforecasting.

Safety,Compliance&RiskManagement

• Ensurecompliancewithallapplicablehealth,safety,environmental,fire,andbuildingregulations.
• Administerandsupportlifesafetyprograms,includingfirealarmtesting,emergencylighting,sprinklersystems,andemergencyresponseprocedures.
• Enforcesafeworkpractices,manageotherworkplacesafetyprograms.
• Participateinsafetyaudits,inspections,incidentinvestigations,andcorrectiveactionplanningrelatedtofacilitymaintenance.
• Assistwithemergencypreparednessplanningandprovideleadershipduringfacility-relatedemergencies.

Qualifications&Experience

• Minimumof3-5yearsofprogressiveexperienceinmaintenancemanagement,buildingoperations,engineering,ormaintenanceleadershipwithinahotel,commercial,orsimilarenvironmentwouldbeanasset.
