Job summary

Tricon Homes in Toronto seeks a Maintenance Manager to oversee resident experiences across premium properties and lead the maintenance team, ensuring the safety and reliability of homes and common spaces. You will manage daily schedules, budgets, and vendor relationships, partnering with construction during pre-opening and implementing SOPs to maintain compliance with Ontario codes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance leadership experience leading 10+ employees
• Experience with large-scale building systems (HVAC, building automation)
• Strong English communication, leadership and documentation skills
• Experience with Yardi or similar property management software; proficient in MS Office
• Experience with payroll and budgeting software; ability to manage budgets and reporting

Responsibilities

• Set resident-first service standards with courteous communication and updates
• Lead and develop maintenance team through clear expectations and coaching
• Plan and manage daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules
• Oversee budgets for repairs, maintenance, capital projects and turnovers
• Coordinate third-party service providers ensuring quality and cost targets
• Partner with Construction for pre-delivery inspections and transition to operations
• Build, onboard and train maintenance team for opening
• Coordinate installation and readiness of building technology and telecom infrastructure
• Develop SOPs, preventive maintenance programs, and safety plans
• Maintain inspection and documentation programs (site and unit inspections, move-ins/outs)
• Ensure compliance with legislation and safety standards (Ontario Fire Code, OHSA, RentSafeTO)
• Promote safety culture via Joint Health and Safety Committee
