Job summary

Bear Country Property Management in Sun Peaks, BC, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance department, manage projects, and ensure daily upkeep of multiple properties.

You will lead a team, coordinate with clients, plan preventive maintenance, and handle safety inspections. Prior experience in construction-related trades is a plus; a BC Class 5 license is required. Training will be provided. This full-time role starts soon.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with ability to work under limited supervision.
• Must be able to work at height (man-lift & roof access).
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Experience with concrete and painting is a plus.
• Mechanical/Plumbing/Carpentry and/or electrical experience is an asset but not required.
• Valid BC driver’s license with clean record.
• Minimum 1 year commitment.
• Proficient with Microsoft programs and monitoring/tracking software and hotel reservation software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance department, its projects and day-to-day upkeep of properties.
• Identify maintenance needs and respond to requests across properties.
• Troubleshoot and resolve product, service and maintenance-related problems.
• Plan, organize and direct administrative tasks related to maintenance and safety inspections.
• Supervise maintenance staff and organize inventory.
• Develop schedules and preventative maintenance programs; respond to emergencies.
• Assist with renovations and installations as needed.
• Prepare reports and proposals to illustrate benefits of goods or services.
