Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure health, comfort and safety of Resident Members at Richmond Towers, The Circle, or Vista Gardens in Calgary. The role requires performing maintenance requests within 72 hours and on-call emergencies to maintain high standards.

You will handle vacant suite touch-ups, preventative inspections, basic repairs, and coordination with Customer Care to ensure turnover suites meet quality expectations.

Qualifications

• 2 years maintenance service experience required.
• 3 years renovation experience an asset.
• English language skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• General common area and building maintenance

• Ensure contractors complete their work per established quality standards
• Assist with snow removal
• Complete other tasks and assist other sites as required

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• 2 years maintenance service experience required

Technical Requirements:

• Working knowledge of English language both verbal and written
• Familiarity with technology is an asset

Non-Technical Requirements:

• Ensure to have all tools on the tool list (list provided during interview)
• Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
• Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment
• Ability to fix the problem correctly the first time
• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, enthusiasm and assertiveness

Additional Requirements:
