About You And This Role
Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer located in Toronto (ON, CAN).
Responsibilities
- Provides engineering support to address plant issues impacting safe, reliable production, including equipment-based or repair technique-based technical expertise affecting facility availability and maintainability.
- Serves as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
- Develops maintenance operating discipline.
- Provides technical expertise to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating equipment design against service conditions.
- Ensures work requests include engineering input on repair details and provides onsite/offsite technical support for deviations, especially for critical equipment.
- Documents repairs, repair techniques, and equipment-specific training; makes these available for reference.
- Contributes maintainability input to Global Project activities.
- Supports the preventive maintenance team in reviewing spare parts lists for existing equipment.
- Enters quality, service, and performance data into reporting systems.
- Participates in developing the maintenance budget to support strategy.
- Provides engineering input for work packages, especially during turnaround planning for critical equipment.
- Supplies equipment reliability and performance data for procurement, evaluation, and modifications.
- Completes EH&S orientation and training, exhibits safe work behaviors, and fulfills all EH&S requirements.
- Supports industrial hygiene activities and incorporates safety considerations into planning and maintenance.
- Uses maintenance metrics to analyze and improve maintenance spending and equipment reliability.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant military experience equivalent to U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) as an Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineer.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work onsite full-time with flexible schedules, core hours from 8AM to 2PM.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada; no visa sponsorship provided.
