Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience maintaining control systems on complex process and/or high-speed production equipment.
  • Experience with AC and DC control systems.
  • PLC/HMI set-up & troubleshooting experience – RSLogix, Siemens, Omron.

Operations Management leads and integrates the efforts of a single team or multiple teams across all shifts responsible for all quality, safety, cost, reliability and quantity of the line or lines which make up the value stream. Responsible for sound people management, problem solving and project management skills. Is responsible for producing finished goods or sub-assemblies for finished goods. They can be a machine operator or a team leader who helps coordinate activities and effectiveness of a group of machine operators as they complete their shift schedules.

Manufacturing Production Technician work focuses on implementing, modifying, and monitoring the quality, safety, and efficiency of discrete production processes (i.e., production of unit based items assembled from component parts) including :

  • Assisting engineers with developing and implementing new / modified production processes, tools, and equipment
  • Identifying / documenting operational control standards and testing equipment to assess conformance with engineering specifications
  • Setting up test apparatus and conducting tests of raw materials, parts, components, finished items, and packaging
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical production line problems to minimize finished item rejection levels
  • Monitoring gauges, dials, and other indicators of production equipment / machinery performance

Required Shift :

Shift rotates between days (7am - 7pm) and nights (7pm - 7am)

Pay : From $45 per hour.

Bonus (AVP) - target bonus of 5% of base pay, depending on company performance.

Merit Pay - Increase to base pay once per year based on your performance

Job Purpose :

We’re looking for a Shift Maintenance – Electrician, who will be responsible for on-shift preventive & predictive maintenance, alongside effective troubleshooting & repair of breakdowns across production & utilities.

What will be your day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Adherent to company safety & quality standards and processes
  • Completion of assigned preventative & predictive maintenance PMs as directed, capturing all relevant information into CMMS system (eMaint).
  • Provide technical skills required to systematically repair, adjust and maintain processing, filling, conveying, and packaging machinery.
  • Effectively prioritize simultaneous breakdown / reactive maintenance calls, utilizing shift managers & machine operators for support.
  • Other duties include participating in continuous improvement teams, working on new project activities and continuous training.

What technical experience are we looking for?

  • Certified Journeyman – 309A or 442A – with proof of apprenticeship and 2+ years’ experience maintaining control systems on complex process and / or high-speed production equipment.
  • Experience with AC and DC control systems (troubleshoot, test and repair)
  • PLC / HMI set-up & troubleshooting experience – RSLogix, Siemens, Omron
  • VFD set-up & troubleshooting experience – Allen-Bradley PowerFlex & Siemens micro master
  • Able to complete basic mechanical troubleshooting & repairs to equipment
  • Knowledge of food safety requirements e.g. HACCP, GMP.
