Job summary

Trusscore is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to install, test and repair electrical systems in our Ontario facility. You will read drawings, service lighting, controls, PLCs, and motor starters, while maintaining safety and compliance with industry standards.

You will work a dayshift from 7am to 3pm, and be responsible for preventative maintenance, accurate records, and using test equipment for diagnostics. A Red Seal certification is required.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Electrician Certificate with Red Seal from Ontario Apprenticeship and Industry Training (or equivalent from another province).

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings, circuits diagrams and electrical code specifications.
  • Install, test, replace, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
  • Install, replace, and repair safety circuits, analog process instruments, and digital instruments.
  • Install, replace, and repair PLC instrumentation and controls on a wide variety of industrial applications.
  • Install, replace, and repair motor starters and VFD's.
  • Familiarity with downstream extrusion is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with hand tools.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
  • Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial, and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications.

Work Conditions
  • This position will be a dayshift from 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
  • Push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to spend long periods of time walking and standing.
  • Occasionally required to work in elevated places (loading platforms).
Compensation

Hourly Pay Rate range: $35/hour -$45/hour.

Comprehensive Benefits plan with most coverage starting on day 1.
